I’m Ali Mazhar Kolat, a Toronto-based videographer and photographer with a focus on visual storytelling.

I got into video through hands-on work, creating content in real-world environments and building my skillset through experience. Alongside that, I’ve spent years working on film sets in various roles, which has given me a deeper understanding of how ideas come together at every stage of production.

What interests me most is figuring out the right way to tell each story. I pay attention to the people, the details, the pacing and the atmosphere, looking for what makes each shot feel right for the story.

As a filmmaker, I have a detail-oriented eye and I’m always experimenting with new ways to make each project feel distinct and engaging.
